Basic Info BioHello!
Well, my name is Lyria which may as well be my real name since I have several in RL anyway :) It's a combination of Lydia and Lyric(al). I'm English and I'm 24.
My interests centre around stories- in books, on screen, in computer games, in fanfic... wherever I can find it! I like to say I'm a fanfic author but in truth I haven't posted any yet. I hope that will change very soon. I feel guilty writing it because I know I should be getting on with my own book for which I hope to have a complete first draft by the end of 2007. Will keep you posted so keep your fingers crossed!
My current obsession (now in its 5th year!) is Harry Potter- primarily the books since I have a real love/hate relationship with the films. Mainly the latter but I'm still excessively excited to see the next one. My favourite characters are Lucius, Ginny and Lupin. I have such a thing for villains- I just can't get enough of them.
When I'm not immersed in stories I'm applying for permanent residency in Australia and working. Until I get permanent residency I can't get a permanent job so I work in a strip club and an art gallery. I'm producing work for the gallery too, which is why I'm also lax at posting any fanart. When I get permanent residency I hope to work in what I'm actually qualified in- scenography (set & costume design) All my previous experience has been in theatre but I want to break into film so that's my next task, along with having my book published and going to teach in Japan- whichever works out first!
